Oh, in such a good way, too!
If you were at the #IPBC2015 Conference in Niagara Falls, then you are likely recovering from the fun-filled time and excitement, like me.
Wasn’t that an amazing conference!?
Here are some of my favourite moments.
First, I simply loved the breakfast sessions. It was a great way to network with follow bookkeepers who crank out bank recs in the trenches just like me!
One of my favourites was seeing the bevy of Black Swans sharing their value pricing expertise with their mentor Ronald Baker.
Each day was filled with a vast array of breakout sessions, covering a boatload of topics like value pricing, cloud accounting, security, social media… the list was endless. The conference fee is well worth it: you obtain so much valuable information!
This year marked my first time stepping out from the audience to present. Granted, I was a little nervous, but I soon came to realize that these IPBC members were thirsty for knowledge about cloud accounting and why I do income taxes (the topics of my two presentations). So it was a relatively easy first time. My audiences were amazing, willing to toss tons of questions at me with as much enthusiasm as I have for the industry. I feel blessed to have been granted this opportunity. Thanks, Intuit, especially Bryan Tritt, for seeing the value in what I do for the accounting industry.
But I have to let you in on a little secret. The funniest and most adventurous part of the conference was following Chris Fudge around doing random impromptu interviews. That was a hoot!
The trade show floor was abuzz with activity and offered a wealth of information. It was a great opportunity for me and my colleagues to get up close and personal with some of the world’s greatest companies that integrate with QuickBooks Online.
All in all, I give this IPBC conference two thumbs up!
Hope to see you next year!
